The Avengers Review Preview

So I don't exactly have time right this minute to write up a full review, but I got a chance to see The Avengers early and I'll tell you it was GREAT! A definite 5/5 for me. I will mention that going into the movie my favorite of the Marvel-film characters was Robert Downey Jr.'s Iron man. But coming out of the movie it was Mark Ruffalo's Hulk. Initially I was a bit skeptical when he first got on scene because they kept talking about the Hulk as "the other guy" and his mannerisms and personality differed more from Norton's portrayal than I had anticipated. It just felt a little off to me. However, once the film got rolling and the Hulk comes out he just seemed to steal the show. All the nitpicky stuff I had logged into my mind just vanished. Ruffalo's Hulk had so much humor and so many scene-stealing moments that it made you want to beg Marvel to do another Hulk movie, with Ruffalo starring. And the "Puny god" scene was too awesome. Your theater will love it. And the uncut scene at the end moving from character to character reminded me a lot of when Spielberg did that in Tintin (one of my favorite moments of that movie). It was so awesome. All in all, I can't wait to get to see this movie again. I highly recommend you guys find the time to check it out this weekend. I don't see how you could wind up disappointed. Alright, so I haven't been getting many commenters or visitors lately.  That makes since, though, since I've been so busy with school that I haven't been able to post near as much as I'd like to.  And who wants to visit a boring blog that doesn't consistently update and keep it real?  Haha, I'm actually taking a brief break in between studying for finals to set up this post.  Starting sometime next week I'll be able to put more time into the blog when school is out the way for the summer.

So all that aside, guess what.  It's time for my second book giveaway contest!

This one is going to be a  3 book giveaway with 2 winners!  The 1st name drawn will get their choice of the books and the 2nd name drawn will get to choose out of the remaining 2.  I'm going to rehash 2 books from the previous giveaway and add a new one to the bunch (like I had mentioned previously).  They'll be: Delirium by Lauren Oliver, Wicked Lovely by Melissa Marr, and Fracture by Megan Miranda.  Fracture is the new addition and is actually an ARC copy and looks like this:

So in anticipation for the release of the next book in the Luxen series, Onyx, a sweet new book tour is getting started.  This book tour is called Daemon Invasion.  Who's Daemon?  Aye Karumba!  What have you been reading?  Well he's one of the stars of the latest and hottest book series which all started with Obsidian (look left).   When I finish up finals I'll post a review up, but it's a book you guys should DEFINITELY be looking into.  So anyway, why did I bring all this up?  Well, I just wanted to let you all know that I'm an Elite Street Teamer for #daemoninvasion tour!  Wanna know more?  Check out this posting from Jennifer Armentrout's official blog:

Over the last couple of weeks, you’ve heard us talking about the upcoming #daemoninvasion and we’re so excited to finally share with you what is going on.

The beautiful and uber cool models, Pepe Toth and Sztella Tziotziosz, who grace the Lux covers, will be joining us in the United States!  You heard right.  They are flying here, from Hungary to spend a few days as Daemon and Katy! While they are here, they will be working with Vania, from VLC Productions (the team behind Cassandra Clare’s The Mortal Instruments, Melissa de La Cruz, Kimberly Derting, Moira Young, Kami Garcia and Margret Stohl, Hillary Duff, Lauren Destefano, and many, many more authors’ book trailers), to film book trailers for the Lux Series.

During the filming in Atlanta, they will be accompanying us on tour! What does that mean? You get to meet them. In the flesh. They will be participating in the signings and events. At those signings, we’ll be giving away signed posters, photos, and other swag. There will also be meet and greet events you can join in on.

At each signing, there will be advanced copies of Onyx given away!

And to top things off (as if this isn’t enough, but we don’t do anything small), there’s something very, very exciting in the works! It involves advanced copies of Opal, water, and a little destination known as the Bahamas.
